Total Parking Solutions earn another Park Mark award at Solent University

Total Parking Solutions have once again demonstrated the highest safety standards across their parking operations.

Total Parking Solutions has recently increased their portfolio of Park Mark accredited car parks at Solent University – Southampton, showing their continued support and commitment to the Park Mark Scheme.

The Park Mark award is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association. Their assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, checking that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage, and cleanliness.  All these are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and thus create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.

The award of Park Mark demonstrates that these facilities provide police-approved accredited parking, reaching high safety standards - facilities that have received this award have seen a drop in vehicle-related crime of over 80%.

Rachel Baxter, Total Parking Solution Operations Director said “Having Park Mark accreditation is great for universities because it ensures their parking facilities meet high safety and security standards. It reassures students, staff, and visitors that their vehicles are in a safer environment, reducing the risk of theft or vandalism. It also boosts the university’s reputation, showing a commitment to campus safety. Plus, it helps with efficient parking management, aligns with best practices, and supports sustainable transport initiatives. Overall, it makes the university a more secure and welcoming place for everyone”.

Warren Bradshaw, BPA Area Manager, said “I am so pleased to see the continued support that Total Parking Solutions have for the Park Mark Scheme, long may it continue."
