Long Buckby

Prestigious Park Mark award for Total Parking at Long Buckby Train station

Facility receives Park Mark award having demonstrated the highest standards across their operations

As the village of Long Buckby experienced growth and increased traffic due to being on the line that goes to London, finding suitable parking spaces became a significant concern. In response to the rising demand, the owners envisioned a parking facility that would address these challenges while preserving the village's unique charm.

The Long Buckby Car Park was born out of this vision, located to cater to the needs of both residents and those passing through the village. Designed with functionality and convenience in mind, the car park aimed to alleviate parking woes and enhance the overall experience for drivers.

Total Parking Director Rachel Baxter said: "Nestled within the charming countryside of Northamptonshire, UK, the Long Buckby Car Park stands as a testament to convenience and efficient urban planning. Situated in the heart of the picturesque village of Long Buckby, this parking facility has become an essential asset for residents and visitors, offering a seamless parking experience in this quaint corner of England."

Park Mark®  is the accredited logo of the Safer Parking Scheme. It is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association.  Their assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, checking that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness.  All these are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and thus create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.

Car parks with a Park Mark® can use signage featuring the distinctive Park Mark® tick so that drivers know exactly where to go for safe parking. Facilities that have received this award have seen a drop in vehicle-related crime of over 80%.

Colin Sproats, BPA Area Manager said: “I am delighted that Rachel's Team at Long Buckby has achieved the Park Mark award, demonstrating their hard work and commitment to provide a safe environment for users.”
