Park Mark Freight awarded to J23 Truck Stop
J23 Truck stop lorry/truck parking facility in Loughborough shares pride at receiving prestigious police-approved Safer Parking Scheme award
The J23 Truck Stop facility operated by J23 Truck Stop has been awarded the Park Mark Freight award. This award recognises that the parking and driver facilities in place actively help to deter crime and reduce the fear of crime at all times within lorry parking areas. This is a fantastic achievement recognising that its parking facilities have measures in place that actively deter crime and the fear of crime in car parks
The Park Mark Freight award is issued to lorry/truck parking facilities that pass a rigorous risk assessment conducted by the police and the British Parking Association. The assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, ensuring that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage, and cleanliness. These criteria are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.
Craig Emmerson, Accountant at J23 Truck Stop said: “Having being established in the haulage sector for many years, we understand the importance of making available a safe, secure, and clean parking facility for lorry drivers and we are pleased to be able to be accredited with the Park Mark Freight standard - showing our commitment to the sector.
We would like to thank Matthew and the team at BPA for making the accreditation process as straight forward as possible and we look forward to working with you all in the future”
Matthew Robinson, BPA Area Manager said: “I am delighted that J23 Truck Stop has achieved the Park Mark Freight award, demonstrating their hard work and commitment to provide a safe environment for users.”
