BPA President challenges sector to deliver long-lasting and meaningful change

Youngest ever President Jade Neville calls for better collaboration, more inclusivity, and a fresh perspective for the parking sector.

On July 7th we were delighted to officially welcome our new President Jade Neville at her House of Commons reception on what turned out to be an eventful day to be in Westminster.  It was also a wonderfully positive occasion for everyone who attended, witnessing our youngest ever President and only the fifth female in our 52-year history deliver a passioned speech alongside our host, Daniel Zeichner MP.

Jade dedicated her Presidency to bringing about better conversations to stimulate long-lasting, meaningful, and measurable change and called for our sector to work together to improve the consumer experience, enable greater decarbonisation, and drive technology. She also acknowledged the contribution of outgoing President Mike Marrs and welcomed Anjna Patel MBE as the new chair of the BPA Board. It is an enormously proud moment to enter the next chapter of the BPA’s future with two inspiring females at the helm and we wish them both every success.

Daniel has been a close ally of the BPA for many years and supports our call for the Government to rethink its plans to cut the level of private parking charges and reverse its decision to completely remove debt recovery fees. With recess upon us, we continue to share knowledge and advice via a range of channels including webinars, and work with key stakeholders to help shape the implementation of the Parking (Code of Practice) Act 2019.
