Macmillan is our new charity partner

2019 wasn’t just the end of a decade it saw the end of our agreement with charity partner Marie Curie. We had an incredible three years supporting Marie Curie and raised over £15,000 for their work providing support and care for more than 40,000 terminally ill people every year.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Marie Curie team that we worked with during this period and for the commitment and enthusiasm they showed by attending our events and raising money alongside our members

Towards the end of last year, we began the process of asking members to select a new charity partner to support over the next three years. Members were invited to suggest an organisation they would like us to work with and from a shortlist of the most popular names, a vote took place. The charities shortlisted were Macmillan Cancer Support, Mind, The Alzheimer’s Society, and the British Heart Foundation. After all votes were counted there was one clear winner… Macmillan Cancer Support.

We are excited to work with Macmillan, which is one of the largest charities in the country, providing specialist healthcare, information and financial support to people affected by cancer. It also researches the social, emotional, and practical impact cancer can have, and campaigns for better cancer care. Macmillan Cancer Support's goal is to reach and improve the lives of everyone living with cancer in the UK.
