Lancing Beach Green car park accredited for Park Mark and Park Access
Awards highlight unwavering commitment to providing safe, secure, and accessible parking facilities for all users.
The Lancing Beach Green Car Park operated by National Parking Control (NPC) has achieved the prestigious Park Mark® and Park Access® awards. This is a fantastic achievement recognising that its parking facility has measures in place that actively deter crime and the fear of crime in car parks and provide truly accessible parking for all users.
Park Mark® is the accredited logo of the Safer Parking Scheme. It is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association. Car parks with a Park Mark® can use signage featuring the distinctive Park Mark tick so drivers know exactly where to go for safe parking. Facilities that have received this award have seen a drop in vehicle-related crime of over 80%.
The Park Access accreditation combines the best of two accreditations – the Disabled Parking Accreditation and People’s Parking Award to automatically become the UK's industry benchmark for accessible and inclusive parking and electric vehicle charging facilities. Park Access EV includes requirements and recommendations for accessible EV charging informed by the new British Standard Institution accessibility standard, PAS 1899.

"We at National Parking Control are thrilled to announce that the Lancing Beach Green Car Park has been awarded the esteemed Park Mark and Park Access accreditations. These accolades highlight our unwavering commitment to providing safe, secure, and accessible parking facilities for all users. Gaining these accreditations is no small feat. It required diligent effort and substantial investment in improving the Lancing Beach Green Car Park. Some of the key measures we implemented to meet the high standards required include making sure there was adequate lighting, and implementing a regular security patrol to deter criminal activities, and ensure the safety of all users.
"We have also made significant enhancements to accommodate users with disabilities. This includes designated parking spaces, clear signage and a user-friendly payment system including free-of-charge parking for anyone displaying a disabled parking (blue) badge. A clean, well-maintained car park not only looks appealing but also contributes to the overall safety and user experience. Our team works diligently to keep the car park in pristine condition.
