Green Parking Earns Park Mark Award for Richmond Rugby Club Site

Green Parking Ltd. gain their 19th Park Mark award at the Richmond Rugby Club stadium car park in London.

The car parking facilities at the Richmond Rugby Club stadium in south-west London, managed and operated by Green Parking Ltd, have achieved the prestigious Park Mark award. This new award demonstrates that the club car park has measures in place that actively deter crime and the fear of crime.

Park Mark® is the accredited logo of the Safer Parking Scheme. It is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association. Their assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, checking that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage, and cleanliness. All these are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and thus create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.

Ben Gill, General Manager for Green Parking Ltd, said: “We are incredibly proud to gain the Park Mark award at Richmond Rugby Club. We are keen supporters of the Park Mark scheme and always try to follow its principles in all our car parks across the UK. The award shows that all of our customers can park in a safer environment. We appreciate the support provided by the Police Assessors and the British Parking Association. Their valuable knowledge and recommendations help us provide a secure and welcoming parking environment for all.”

Antony Powell, BPA Area Manager, said: “Many congratulations to Green Parking Ltd. As a result of the recent award assessment by the Metropolitan Police and the British Parking Association, I am delighted that the parking facilities at Richmond Rugby Club have been awarded Park Mark. This is Green Parking's 19th award and clearly demonstrates the company`s commitment to principles of the scheme.
