Flying Scot in Edinburgh earns a Park Mark Award
The airport parking provider has demonstrated the highest standards of safety in their parking operations.
Flying Scot has been a family owned business for over 30 years, and have a commitment to safety in their parking services throughout their operations - achieving this award is proof of the distance they will go to ensure a high quality of experience. The Park Mark award is a key part of the Safer Parking Scheme, an initiative that has been reducing crime in car parks for over two decades.
Managed by the BPA on behalf of Police Crime Prevention Initiatives, the Safer Parking Scheme requires each car park to undergo a rigorous assessment by specially trained police assessors. Assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, taking into consideration surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness. Car parks accredited under the scheme are awarded the Park Mark award, indicating they meet the highest standards of safety and security - car parks with the award have seen an 80% reduction in crime.
Patricia Reid, Co-Director of Flying Scot, said "Once we made enquiry and found out more about the Park Mark accreditation we knew it was something we wanted. We are delighted to have gone through the audit process with William from the British Parking Association and Sam from Police Scotland and to receive this important accreditation which highlights our commitment to security and safety within our park and ride operation."
