Electric vehicle infrastructure funding for local authorities in England

The second tranche of the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) funding is open for applications.

The LEVI fund supports local authorities in England to work with the chargepoint industry, to improve the roll out and commercialisation of local charging infrastructure. These public chargepoints are aimed to help residents who don’t have off-street parking and need to charge their electric vehicles. It includes:

  • Capital funding to support the costs of delivering chargepoints
  • Capability funding for local authorities to employ and train new staff specifically to deliver chargepoint infrastructure

Eighty one local authorities are receiving funding and can apply for a funding allocation. Expressions of interest for funding close on 26 May.

For more information on the application process see the Energy Saving Trust website and the LEVI Capital Fund information pack, which includes the assessment criteria
