Cream of the crop: Q-Park Talbot Street gains Park Mark Plus award

Nottingham car park receives prestigious award having demonstrated the highest standards across its operations.

Park Mark Plus is a comprehensive assessment demonstrating the highest quality of today's modern car parks in services, operations, design and build.  To achieve the award, car parks must demonstrate a wide range of responsibilities.

Building on the well-regarded Safer Parking Scheme’s Park Mark award, Park Mark Plus recognises only the highest quality car parks. Park Mark is the accredited logo of the Safer Parking Scheme, which is given to parking facilities that have achieved the requirements of a risk assessment conducted by the Police and the British Parking Association.  Their assessments include management and maintenance of the facility, checking that there are appropriate levels of surveillance, lighting, signage and cleanliness.  All these are known to reduce the opportunity for crime and thus create a safer environment for the motorist and their vehicle.

The award of Park Mark Plus demonstrates that a facility provides police-approved accredited parking, and has reached the standards of the Disabled Parking Accreditation and a range of environmental, structural, operational and customer services criteria.

Adam Bidder, Managing Director of Q-Park commented:  “Q-Park has always been synonymous with offering the most safe and secure parking facilities in the industry. We are delighted to have been recognised by the British Parking Association for the confidence that we provide to our customers regarding the safety of their property. We look forward to receiving more Park Mark Plus Awards in the near future.”

Matt Robinson BPA Area Manager said: “I am delighted that Brindley Place has achieved the Park Mark Plus award, demonstrating their hard work and commitment to providing a safe environment for users.”
