BPA President Stuart Harrison

BPA President encourages collaboration to raise standards and change perceptions

Stuart Harrison hails BPA membership community as an influential force in the parking and mobility sector

On July 6th we were delighted to officially welcome our new President Stuart Harrison at a special reception held at the House of Lords.  Stuart has been involved in the parking and mobility sector for 15 years and for eight of those years, has been actively involved in the BPA Community across various Boards and Working groups.

During his speech, he paid tribute to all of his predecessors in the role, particularly immediate past President Jade Neville, and strived to ensure that he uses his year as President just as effectively as they did.

Stuart said, "Whether we work in the public or private sector, it is important that we work collaboratively, where possible, to raise standards, change perceptions, and demonstrate our commitment to a cleaner, greener, and safer society through effective parking management."

The President reflected on how much the BPA's membership community has evolved over the years, reflecting the increasing complexity of a dynamic sector, with a much greater focus on technology, data, environmental issues, and a global outlook.

"The BPA's new three-year Strategic Plan demonstrates our Association’s relevance, and it’s clearly needed now more than ever before." he continued "Whether it’s Electric Vehicles, the National Parking Platform, or data standards and the work of the APDS, our BPA community continues to come together in record numbers to solve problems and work with partners internationally to find solutions."

The President thanked everyone in attendance for their continued support and for making the BPA Community such a welcoming and influential force in the sector.
