APH achieves prestigious Park Mark Plus accreditation

Park Mark Plus award recognises only the highest quality car parks and parking facilities

APH has recently achieved the highly sought-after Park Mark Plus accreditation. Since 1980, APH has provided airport parking, hotels, lounges, and travel extras to UK travelers. With over four decades of experience and still family-owned, they are a leading independent airport parking company in the UK, with over 8,000 of its own spaces and organising parking of more than 400,000 customers’ cars every year.

Building on the well-regarded Safer Parking Scheme’s Park Mark award, the new Park Mark Plus recognises only the highest quality car parks.  The award assesses a range of criteria from services and operations to design and build. To qualify for the award, the car park must meet Park Mark and Disability Parking Accreditation criteria as a minimum.

Customer expectations for well-managed, high-quality car parks are exerting demand on the sector to deliver excellent services and enhanced customer experience whilst caring for the environment.  Technology is also playing a growing role in delivering a seamless and efficient customer experience.

Environmental sustainability is a key focus of this award; the assessment included the availability of electric charging bays (of which the car park currently has 12) and energy-saving equipment. The car park provides motorcycle parking with helmet lockers, a bug hotel, and some unique design features.

APH has demonstrated the highest quality of today’s modern park-and-ride car parks in services, operations, design, and build. They have demonstrated a wide range of responsibilities including:

  • Low crime and measures in place to ensure the safety of people and vehicles.
  • Meet Disabled Parking Accreditation criteria for disabled parking bays.
  • Structural integrity.
  • Environmental credentials.
  • Good management and operations.
  • Exemplary customer experience.

BPA Area Manager Warren Bradshaw said, “It has been a great pleasure for me to have worked with the APH team on this journey towards achieving the Park Mark Plus accreditation. Well done and well deserved”.
